ECOLEX is a database providing the most comprehensive, global source of information on environmental law. ECOLEX is operated jointly by FAO, IUCN and UNEP.

Professional Organisations and Societies

WWF: publishes the Living Planet Index in collaboration with the Zoological Society of London. Along with their ecological footprint calculations, the index is used to produce a biennial Planet Report to give an overview of the impact of human activity on the world (Source: Wikipedia).

 

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP): provides information on UNEP's work and programs, its organisation, divisions and services, events, and publications.

 

European Commission - Environment: provides information on environmental legislation, funding opportunities and the Commission's main policy areas e.g., climate change, air quality, waste, water, urban environment, protection and biodiversity, chemicals, environmental law, and radiation protection.
