Archives and Records Management: Self-paced Records Management Learning Module

Self-paced Records Management Learning Module

We have designed a self-paced records management learning module in Blackboard to help staff obtain a common foundational understanding of KAUST's records management framework.

If you have previously worked at institutions with professional records practices this module will be a refresher for you; if it is your first time to learn about these things then this module will help build a solid foundation for you on the following topics:

  • The University Records Policy
  • Retention and disposal schedules
  • Records vs Non-Records
  • Confidential vs non-confidential information
  • How long to keep records
  • Proper disposal procedures
  • File naming conventions, and more!

Click here to to be taken to KAUST's Blackboard site. Use your KAUST credentials to login and then click on the "Institution Page" (see image below). After selecting the "Institution Page" you will be able to see the "KAUST Records Management 101 - Foundations" course. Full instructions on how to complete the module are available from within the course itself. Contact us if you have questions or any issues.
